YPIP - Wimborne cake maker gets ASBO'd!

Posted: 19/11/2007, 11:19

Pippa Worth (Youth Worker) is presenting an ASBO Certificates to a 14 year old girl in her Confirmation group. The girl got together with 3 friends to do something for Children in Need and got baking – big time - in her mum’s small kitchen. They got permission from the Minster to sell the cakes from the Minster Green (Wimborne) then made banners, got dressed up, carried the cakes to the green and raised £100.00. They worked very hard on a very cold (especially while wearing tutus) but enjoyable day.

Pippa writes, "The reason that I would like to award this girl and ASBO is because I think she is amazing - she doesn’t have any money of her own and yet can get mobilised to do something for other people and all this while living with the pain of a twisted spine. All in all, in my eyes she REALLY is Alright, Sensational, Beautiful & Original (and especially generous) and I would like to present her with a certificate at our next Confirmation class or perhaps the Youth Mass on 25th November!"
