- Prophetic voice – raise up new voices, creating safe spaces, bringing change
What’s on?
Being Young People Shaped: The Prophetic Dreamers programme is all about being young people shaped. The programme its being developed as we speak in collaboration with Prophetic Dreamers young people.
We have also shaped the agenda around a young person’s schedule. We have shifted the timings of the weekend to have a late bed time and a late breakfast!
Everything is Optional: There will be a varied programme of fun activities and workshops that are all interactive. We want to be inclusive as possible, therefore ALL activities are optional and will be designed for multiple levels of engagement. So that everyone can be involved in whatever ways work for them.
There will also be time for down time and space to get to connect with new and old friends.
Activities we ran last year: glow stick bonfire party, scavenger hunt, games night, arts and crafts, country walk etc.
Workshops we ran last year: activism and faith, queer theology, creative worship, exploring gender and God.
Parents: Prophetic Dreamers is also a space for parents and guardians. The weekend is a great space to connect with other families and journey with others who are traversing the road of loving their rainbow families. There will also be a series of activities and workshops aimed at allies/parents/guardians.
Who can attend?
The PD weekend is open to all LGBTQIA+ and questioning young people and their parent/guardians/youth workers/youth leaders.
At this stage of the journey we request that ALL young people attend supported by an adult (parent/guardian/youth worker)
Please get in touch with the FYT team to discuss this further.
